I’m selling the XJ to look for a better winter DD and possible car hauler. 4.0L auto with 251k miles, 4x4, 3” lift, 31” BFG mud terrains. Asking $2000 obo.

Also I’m not gonna bullshit any of you, it’s better suited to trails and mud than daily driving.

Yea, it’s getting up there. The rockers are just starting to show rust, and there are a few rough spots on the roof, gas cover, and rear quarter.

Anything wrong with it other than 251k miles? (non DD and a 4.0 straight 6 means that’s not really a deal breaker)

Heh, a few things:

As you can guess by the mileage, various wear parts, bushings, sensors, will need replacing. For example, right now the neutral position sensor is going, so sometimes it won’t start in park and you need to put it in neutral.

One mating end of the sway bar link quick disconnects fell off the driver’s side, so I’ve been running without them. It’s a pretty disconcerting ride feeling and mild tipover risk if you’re not aware what’s going on.

Rear passenger side axle seal needs to be replaced, diff leaks a little too.

Rear drums probably need to be taken care of.

There are lighting gremlins. Sometimes everything is working, sometimes one of the two blinker bulbs is out.

Radio only gets 4 stations, a few speakers are out.

There are two power and two crank windows.

No inner panel for the rear hatch.

Worst thing about this car is the lack of locking doors and presence of a god awful alarm system.

As you can imagine, I’d almost rather not sell it to a friend, but as long as you know what you’d be getting yourself into.
